  2. Yes, I saw them perform on Friday but unfortunately, I had a rotten cold so ended up spending all my time, sitting, in the darkest corner of Carablanca waiting for the performance so I could go home. They did 4 pieces and the first 2 were non-traditional (I’m still too much of a novice to be able to name any of the tracks), the third a traditional piece and the fourth a crowd-pleasing improvised milonga (the DJ picked the music). Geraldine dances beautifully and very precisely but I felt the first 2 (even 3?) pieces were quite choreographed. I was hoping for something quite salon style. I actually preferred watching them in the half hour before they performed when they were dancing on the normal dance floor, surrounded by lots of (dangerous) couples. The floor craft was awful that night and perhaps as 'protection' they danced mainly in the centre of the floor so I was able to watch them quite a bit.

There were lots of cameras there so I’m sure their dances will be posted online soon enough and you can judge for yourself. I completely admit, my feelings were probably influenced by my throbbing headache!

One final note, Geraldine is as gorgeous in the flesh as she looks on screen – I think quite a few of the men were dazzled! ;-)

  3. She is indeed :-)You were right, their dances have been posted already and I watched them: to be honest I wasn't very impressed(apart from the obvious, her being Geraldine, etc)...I still can't help, but think that the magic is gone. What I see now is very professional, a bit stagey and quite boring. Then again: I once saw her dancing in Rome( just "normal", social dance)and what can I say? - she owned the room. Maybe it's just doesn't always translate into videos.
I hope you feel better by now!
